Getting ready for the holidays

We're ready for winter.

Well, we've winterized vehicles, put the equipment away, cleaned up the gardens -- I'm not sure one is ever ready for winter. We've had a couple of snow flakes, but not enough to consider it to have snowed. But, there have been ice crystals on the dog's water dish the last couple of mornings, so it's time to start digging out the winter coats.

We finally parted with the '95 Camry. It went by various names -- Christine and Kirby -- but it was still a car that served us well. Despite its unique issues, Newgate Education Center wanted it so students could learn by repairing it. The car had over 344,000 miles. Now it's someone else's wheels.

We're looking forward to Thanksgiving with Sue's mom. The kids are looking forward to having Jello Fluff!
